Send Messages To Users
The “Send Email to Users” function in the AdminCP has been updated and renamed. The updated feature now allows you to send either an email or a private message to one or more user groups. Administrators can now choose the communication method that works best for them using all the search fields previously provided when sending email.
Disposable Email Check
A new option has been added to check for one-time-use or disposable email addresses when users register. These email addresses are often associated with undesirable activity. This has been added as an additional method to prevent spam in vBulletin. You can turn this option on in the AdminCP under Settings → Options → User Moderation.
Self-hosted customers can manually edit this list by editing the file located at core/libraries/misc. The format is one email domain per line.

vb:math Updates
- The CSS calc() function has replaced all instances of vb:math in the CSS templates. If you customize your CSS templates, it is recommended to use this function going forward.
- Using units (px, rem, etc…) in vb:math is now discouraged. Developers will remove this functionality in a future version. If you use these in your custom template code and need help converting that code, please open a new topic in the support channel.
Additional Changes
- Can Use Bookmarks: A new user group permission has been added to allow Bookmark usage. Registered Users, Administrators, Moderators, Super Moderators, and Custom Usergroups (that are not banned) will receive this permission on upgrade.
- Birthday Module Sorting: You can now choose to sort the list of birthdays by Last Login Date or Alphabetically.
Deprecations
- With the release of PHP 8.6 and PHP 8.2 reaching End of Life, we will be deprecating support for PHP 8.2.X. Future versions of vBulletin are not guaranteed to run on PHP 8.2. Please upgrade your servers.
- The Legacy PHP and Legacy SMTP settings for outgoing email are now considered deprecated. We will be removing these settings in the near future. Please update to the newer Email or SMTP classes available in the AdminCP under Settings → Email Manager. Cloud Customers do not need to worry about this change. We will update your systems automatically.
- The developers will remove the Worldpay payment gateway in a future version of the software. This system is out of date and will no longer be supported.
- Multiple changes have been made to the AdminCP in an effort to bring the system up to current PHP coding standards.
